Vintage Notes

The Napa Cabernet is the yin to our yang, a tribute to founder Max’s passion for Cabernet and a result of our winemaker Thomas’ midas touch. The site, in close proximity to legendary estates and locally referred to as the ‘heart and soul’ of Napa, is on the eastern side of the valley and is all hillside fruit. Thomas had special access to this location and knew it was just the right fit for Senses.

Winemaker Notes

“The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the talented Thomas Rivers Brown and sports a dense purple hue to go with uber-ripe currants and blue fruits interwoven with notes of chocolate, baking spices, and tobacco. This carries to full-bodied, concentrated blockbuster of a Cabernet Sauvignon offering a fleshy, layered mouthfeel, building tannins, and no shortage of fruit or length on the finish. It puts its foot firmly on the ripeness pedal, but it stays balanced and has remarkable purity of fruit and a monster of a finish.”
